OPA MEATS
The Greek word “OPA” has many meanings. It is primarily used to emphasize something exciting, inspiring, uplifting and life affirming. OPA refers to the celebration of life and living life to the fullest.
In choosing a name for my company, I wanted to reflect upon my Greek heritage and to honor the hard work and sacrifices of my forefathers, who laid the foundation for the life I have today. OPA MEATS seemed to be the perfect fit.
Whether preparing a meal for your family or a larger gathering, I encourage you to take a step back, appreciate what you have, celebrate your family, your friends, the freedoms we all enjoy and the ability to live our lives to the fullest. OPA MEATS wants to be part of your celebration!!
ABOUT US
Opa Meats was started in the summer of 2018 with the goal of selling locally raised beef and lamb directly to the consumer. Opa Meats is owned by John Sampinos and is based in Price, Utah. State inspected butcher shops are used to harvest and process all animals. The meat is appropriately aged, cut to the buyers’ specifications and then immediately frozen. Bulk buyers can pick up their meat at the butcher shop or delivery can be arranged.
Pick up is also available by appointment in Price.
Opa Meats delivers tasty, high-quality beef and lamb, with a guaranty to the buyer that our meat is 100% what it is advertised to be. We can do this because all beef and lamb sold by Opa Meats comes from animals raised by Sampinos Livestock Company, creating a family-owned pasture to plate enterprise.
